Praxair’s Refillable Transportable (RT) Cylinder Program for Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Calibration Gas Application.

Praxair’s goal is to improve our customers’ productivity, extend gas mixture shelf life and assist our customers in reducing transportable cylinder disposal costs.

Safety, quality and innovation are key to Praxair’s transportable product offering. Our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified and accredited to produce ISO 17025 and Guide 34 standards. Praxair’s aluminum cylinders are DOT, Pi stamped, and ISO compliant, and go through rigorous quality control processes. Our cylinder technology enables maximum shelf life and mixture stability. This, along with our ISO production process, validates cylinder quality and gas mixture accuracy to provide industry-leading quality. Each of our transportable cylinders possesses a unique serial number and ships with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) demonstrating its traceability according to NIST standards.

Aluminum RT cylinders can be more compact than standard transportable cylinders and can be returned without difficulty by using our exclusive Strip & Ship™ Program. This is essential for end users who desire a returnable cylinder program and who want to reduce potential safety hazards associated with disposing of transportable cylinders.

How does Strip & Ship work?

Your cylinder is packed in a clear plastic tube within a cardboard box. Once you have received the cylinder, remove it from the packaging and save the plastic tube. When the empty cylinder is ready for return, ensure that all gas has been purged in a safe and well-ventilated area, strip off the content label, and place the cylinder in the tube for return shipping. Follow the three easy Strip & Ship steps below:

Step 1: Make sure gauge reads zero
Step 2: Strip off content to reveal prepaid return label beneath it.
Step 3: Place in tube for return shipping.
