Have you received the error "This widget requires a valid SC user authentication". This is a common error that
can be corrected in a few simple steps outlined below.
Steps:
- Logout
- Clear the recent browser history
- Close all browser windows
- Log back in

Chrome
- Close out all open windows then open new window
- In the upper right-hand corner of window select 3 dots
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu
- Under Privacy & Security you will find clear browsing data
- Select browsing history, cookies and other site data, and cached images and files
- Once data is cleared log back into site and error should be removed.
Safari for Mac
- Click the Safari menu, then Clear History
- In the Clear field choose All History
- Click Clear History
Safari for PC
- Click on the Setting (Gear) icon in the upper right corner of the browser
- Click Reset Safari
- Select the items you wish to clear. (It is recommended to check all items).
- Click reset.
Edge
- Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the browser.
- Choose Settings.
- Under Clear Browsing Data click Choose What to Clear.
- Select the items you wish to clear (Browsing history, cookies and Saved website data, cached data and files, and downloaded history and form data).
- Click Clear.
Internet Explorer
- Close out all open windows then open new window
- In the upper right-hand corner of window select the gear icon
- From the drop down you can select internet options
- In the General tab, under browsing History section select Delete
- Delete Browsing History window will open, check boxes for Temporary Internet files and website files, and cookies and website data.
- If you have saved any sites as favorites, clear the check box for Preserve Favorites website data.
6. Click Delete.
Firefox
- Click the hamburger menu in the upper right hand corner or the browsing window
- Click Preferences (Mac) or Options (PC).
- Click Privacy in left menu bar.
- Click Clear your recent history
- From the Time range to clear - drop-down menu, select the desired range, select Everything.
- Click to down arrow next to "Details" to choose which elements of the history to clear.
- Select Browsing & Download History, Form & Search History, Cookies, Cache and Active Logins.
- Clear Clear Now.
